20 Up-And-Comers To Watch In The Robots That Vacuum And Mop Industry

Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet messes in one go and without the need to switch between devices. They can also save space in comparison to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.

A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has a lot to offer for its low cost, and it's one of the most simple robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you running with a clean, complete dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in a matter of minutes.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills.  robot vacuum cleaner best  has four power modes, a variety of attachments and brushes, and an intuitive app that lets you select the kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

For instance, you could choose to have the robot clean up the living and kitchen but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation technology are superb as the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only issue it has is that it can smash into walls and other objects at a high speed, but an instant glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed, and which obstacles it's avoided.

The docking station comes with an LCD display that indicates the need for maintenance for cleaning up debris and washing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent into the tank automatically by using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop is able to run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive and lets you look at every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot mop and vacuum. It's not like the model from last year it comes with two agitators in its mopping pad which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that allows it to pull up finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.

Like the other two Roborock models I've tried, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to can help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by having a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they are a wall or another surface. It can then automatically change its direction and clean them without missing a beat.

It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning, a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin auto-refills.

The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to take the mount off for washing manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number smart features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these using the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll need to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its clever design permits customized and efficient cleaning while reducing time.

The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner that can deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the top options available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair, crumbs and other dry debris. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet while in use and only occasionally bursting during modes changes or self-maintenance.

The X40 also comes with an additional side brush that can be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture with curved edges such as table and chair legs. It also lets the robot to access furniture that is low-profile making it an ideal choice for small apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush tilts automatically down when it detects wet spots. This is a nice feature that helps the X40 to prevent damage to floors from repeated back-and-forth movements.

Unlike other robots, which are restricted to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop simultaneously. It can also be programmed to avoid areas with carpet and mop only hard floors, and reverse the process. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is simple to use and intuitive and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, look at mapping and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also track its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous convenient features, making it a perfect option for busy families. The docking station automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads, then refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It will also tell you the moment when the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation prior to it bursting.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive models available however, it comes with a lot of additional features that set it apart. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature on its mop, utilizes two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and soiled spots.

The mop is also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is a great feature because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuum and mop models, and it could be a useful method to keep your home cleaner for longer.

There's an impressive amount of settings available, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a variety of preferences. These can be set via the app or there are direct buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and offers many options for customising the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are a lot of features that other robots do not have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of using the manual setting.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen in the market, with metallic and white colors that looks elegant and classy. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this listing however it's not a lot of weight. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping system is also well designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
