The vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive and lets you look at every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot mop and vacuum. It's not like the model from last year it comes with two agitators in its mopping pad which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that allows it to pull up finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.
Like the other two Roborock models I've tried, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to can help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by having a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they are a wall or another surface. It can then automatically change its direction and clean them without missing a beat.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning, a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin auto-refills.
The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to take the mount off for washing manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number smart features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these using the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll need to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its clever design permits customized and efficient cleaning while reducing time.

It can be controlled through the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and intuitive and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, look at mapping and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also track its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous convenient features, making it a perfect option for busy families. The docking station automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads, then refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It will also tell you the moment when the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation prior to it bursting.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive models available however, it comes with a lot of additional features that set it apart. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature on its mop, utilizes two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and soiled spots.
The mop is also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is a great feature because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in the storage. The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen in the market, with metallic and white colors that looks elegant and classy. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this listing however it's not a lot of weight. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping system is also well designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
